Sell Your Old Phone for New Phone Credits

http://ownartical.blogspot.com/
The online retail giant reminds us of their trade-in initiative as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 make their debut.
Amazon wants to buy your old gadgets so you can get a new one.

We probably don't have to remind you, but this is a huge week for the Android space.

The next few days see the arrival of two of the biggest devices of the year, the HTC One M8 and the Samsung Galaxy S5. In other words, it's upgrade time for a lot of us.

Given that a lot of smartphone buyers are already into their second and third handset, the question arises as to what to do with the old model.

Do you throw it in a drawer? Donate to a charity? Pass it down the family as a prepaid phone? Amazon hopes that you'll consider selling that old Galaxy S3 to them.

Amazon is readying new phone buyers with its trade-in program that lets users sell back old smartphones, digital cameras, laptops, and other devices for credit toward a new device.

The e-tailer is also attempting to draw in buyers with a deal that sells the HTC One M8 for $150 on contract with Sprint and Verizon, $50 off the regular retail rate.

Currently, Amazon is offering prices like:

    Samsung Galaxy S4, Black Mist 16GB (AT&T): $190
Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB, Blue (Verizon Wireless): $100
    Apple iPhone 5 16GB Black-(AT&T): $224
    Apple iPhone 4S 16GB Black - (AT&T): $154.30
    HTC One M7, Silver 32GB (Sprint): $123

The program takes up to 10 days to process and works for a number of categories, including old CDs and textbooks. Just so long as your items are in acceptable condition and match the description, you can turn that pile of stuff into Amazon gift cards...like for a new superphone.
